Personal experience with the platform so far
When I first started on Medium, I wasn’t expecting a tidal wave of subscribers. I knew it would be a climb — a slow, deliberate ascent to reach the people who need to hear what I have to say. And let me tell you, that’s exactly what it’s been. A slow rise. But here’s the thing: slow doesn’t mean stagnant. It means steady, it means sustainable, and most importantly, it means real growth.
Medium has become more than just a platform for my words; it’s become a crucible where I test my ideas, sharpen my insights, and connect with like-minded individuals. It’s not about chasing virality or quick wins. It’s about building a foundation that can withstand the test of time. I could push harder, sure. I could relentlessly plug my Substack in every paragraph, corner every reader with a CTA. But I don’t. Because that’s not the relationship I want to have with my audience. I’m here to offer value, not to hound for clicks.
Every time I see a new subscriber trickle in, it feels like planting a seed. It’s a commitment on both ends — me to continue delivering content worth reading, and them to stick around for the journey.
